Line 6 TonePort UX8

24/09/2007

Line 6 TonePort UX8 I was very excited to surf to the Line 6 website today and see that the TonePort range has added the UX8 to its arsenal, an eight input computer recording interface. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one of these so that I can compare it to my current set up which includes two M-Audio Delta 1010's and a Yamaha 01X. Although it's USB 2.0 and not FireWire, I'm pretty certain that in the right setup, i.e. without too many USB devices, it will work fine. I've read a number of forums where people are complaining about the lack of FireWire but then USB 2.0 does have a higher bus speed, but again...I'm yet to find out how this compares.
