POD X3 Manuals Available at Line6.com

At last, the POD X3 manual is available from Line 6. My first skim through it has revealed some very interesting reading
and has dispelled my thoughts that this was going to be a Vetta II repackaged in the little red box.
I will write up my thoughts tomorrow, but in the meantime why not take a look for yourselves.

POD X3 Official Press Release
20/09/2007
Calabasas, CA—Line 6, Inc., industry leader in digital modeling devices and recording gear, is proud to announce
the exciting new POD® X3 and POD® X3 Live, which bring even more power, ease and flexibility to the acclaimed
POD® family of pro-tier guitar and studio tone processors for working musicians.
The desktop-friendly POD X3 and stage-ready POD X3 Live represent the evolution of a true classic, with an expanded
array of 78 guitar amps, from high-wattage heavyweights to boutique beauties and vintage treasures. Guitar amps are
just the beginning: With 24 guitar cabs, 98 stompbox and studio effects, 28 bass amps, 22 bass cabs
and six vocal preamps. POD X3 and POD X3 Live come fully loaded with the all-around sonic firepower of a top-tier
major-label studio, while its larger LCD and smart new controls make it easier than ever to find, tweak and save tones.
Just as significantly, POD X3 and POD X3 Live offer powerful new I/O and routing options. Split your signal
through two different amp and effect chains simultaneously, or use its dual inputs to individually process two
instruments—a microphone and a guitar, for example—at the same time. Whether you’re playing through a P.A., amp or recording rig,
plug your microphone into the XLR input to make vocals and acoustic guitars sound their absolute best. Computer recording
enthusiasts will want to exploit the USB 2.0 connectivity (for multi-channel recording and onscreen tone editing) as well as its
S/PDIF Stereo Digital Audio Output for sending an ultra-clean signal to their DAW.
Whether you choose to hit the stage with the sleek and rugged POD X3 Live (with its racecar-inspired built-in expression
pedal) or command the studio with the classically styled POD X3, you’ll be outfitted with even more of the flexibility
and timeless tones that have made POD the global standard for the discriminating guitarist. “POD X3 is unquestionably
the most powerful and creative tone-shaping tool available to today’s players,” says POD Product Manager Michael Murphy. “It’s
the natural evolution of POD technology, taken to the third power.”
